The combination of LED lighting and the new Welch Allyn LumiView Clear Single Use Ear Specula (transparent ear tips) provides extra clear viewing. Because the newly developed eartips are transparent, they allow LED light to pass through better, making vision up to 8x clearer than through black eartips. The otoscope is also equipped with a wide screen and extended focal length. This makes the viewing area 3x larger and focusing is unnecessary.

The sustainable LED lighting has a longer lifespan than halogen lighting. The Quick Eye alignment technology (two lights on the patient's side) ensures better alignment of the optic disc.
