Vicryl 3/0 absorbable suture, 45cm FS2 needle. Vicryl is the most commonly used synthetic absorbable suture material. Vicryl sutures are easy to handle and knot thanks to their braided structure. The special coating, which facilitates the thread's glide through tissue, remains firmly attached to the suture even after several insertions, ensuring smooth passage through the tissue. After two weeks, Vicryl retains 65% of its original tensile strength; after three weeks, this is 30% to 40%. After 30 days, tensile strength is no longer present. Because absorption occurs through hydrolysis, only minimal tissue reaction occurs. Vicryl is completely absorbed within 60-80 days. Vicryl is sterilized with ethylene oxide. Size: 45cm, FS-2 needle
