The UROSID® Silicone Foley Catheter is a double lumen, transurethral bladder catheter made of 100 percent medical-grade silicone. They are supplied with a straight, atraumatic Nelaton tip or a slightly curved, atraumatic Tiemann tip, and include a continuous barium sulfate X-ray contrast strip for radiopacity. Foley catheters with a Nelaton tip can be used in both women and men, while catheters with a Tiemann tip are mainly used to catheterize men with a narrow urethra or a urethra with scarring.
These catheters are suitable for both passive emptying and retrograde filling/drainage of the bladder. They are all color coded. In addition, the filling channel valve has a luer syringe attachment. The catheter balloons have different volumes ranging from 5 to 30 ml.
