As soon as you are pregnant, your body produces the pregnancy hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG). The amount of hCG doubles every 2 to 3 days and reaches a peak after approximately 7 to 12 weeks of pregnancy. This test detects the pregnancy hormone in your urine. As soon as the test is held in the urine, the urine moves along the membrane by capillary action. As soon as the urine reaches the test zone, it will form a colored line. The absence of the colored line indicates a negative test result. The Sensitest pregnancy test midstream is a very sensitive pregnancy test and can detect the presence of hCG before your period is due. However, to obtain a reliable result, we recommend that you perform the test from the day you expect your period.
