Schülke gigasept® pearls is an active oxygen-based instrument disinfectant for the manual cleaning and disinfection of medical instruments. The innovative pearl structure combines effective disinfection with excellent cleaning performance through its multi-enzyme formula.
The formula is buffered around a neutral pH. This helps prevent protein fixation and provides good material compatibility. gigasept® pearls is therefore also suitable for sensitive materials, including flexible endoscopes.
Suitable for the universal cleaning and disinfection of medical instruments made from different materials. The product is particularly suitable for flexible endoscopes and sensitive materials such as silicone, polycarbonate, polysulfone and acrylic glass.
gigasept® pearls is diluted with cold water to the required working concentration. Depending on the required microbiological efficacy, a concentration of 1% to 2% is used.
Fully immerse the instruments to be treated in the working solution. For hollow instruments, ensure that all air is removed so that the entire surface is properly wetted. After treatment, rinse the instruments thoroughly with water of at least drinking-water quality, preferably demineralised water.
Depending on the concentration and contact time, gigasept® pearls provides bactericidal, tuberculocidal, yeasticidal, fungicidal and fully virucidal efficacy. Please refer to the product information for the exact concentration and contact time.
Always follow the preparation and maintenance instructions provided by the instrument manufacturer. Do not mix gigasept® pearls with other cleaning agents or disinfectants. Replace the working solution every working day or sooner if visible contamination occurs.
Important: Not suitable for instruments made of copper or chrome- or nickel-plated instruments that have previously been mechanically damaged. Always read the label and product information before use.
