The Shaatz with Drainspessary from ProFem® is made of body-friendly, non-allergenic silicone of medical quality and is therefore extremely flexible. The pessary is suitable for long term use and can be cleaned. The dimensions are the outer diameter of the ring.
The Shaatz pessary may relieve the symptoms of a cystocele as well as a second or third-degree uterine prolapse. Its convex shape ensures a snug fit while the drainage holes permit easy passing of fluid.

Cleaning
It is recommended to remove and clean the pessary regularly, in consultation with your healthcare provider. Some types of pessaries may be used for a longer continuous period and a regular appointment schedule should be arranged with your healthcare provider.
Types of pessaries
There are many different types of vaginal pessaries with a proven track record in treating descensus and incontinence problems. The ProFem® pessaries offer a unique range of pessary types and sizes that allow largely individual adjustment and care. Some ProFem® pessaries are available as a version with an additional supporting membrane. These provide improved uterine support. The perforated versions allow for better drainage of secretions and easier removal of the pessary. The ProFem® cube pessary can be ordered with or without perforation if the healthcare provider requires stronger suction on the vaginal wall.
