Cannabinoids
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the active substance in cannabis. More than 500 different substances have been found in the plant. About 100 substances belong to the group of cannabinoids. These cannabinoids are only found in the hemp plant. THC is the main substance that provides the psychoactive effect of cannabis. More and more research is being done into the active substances in cannabis, so more and more is becoming known about how it works and what influence each substance has. Two other important cannabinoids are CBD (cannabidiol) and CBN (cannabinol). So there are many more substances in cannabis.

Cannabis can be prescribed for medical reasons or consumed illegally. In any case, cannabis leaves traces in the body. These are mainly detectable in the form of 11-nor-9-carboxy-THC (THC-COOH), the metabolite of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). However, the detection of the amount consumed is highly dependent on the frequency of use. Furthermore, individual parameters such as metabolism and morphology of the consumer have direct effects on the elimination time of THC, as due to its lipophilic nature it is quickly stored in adipose tissue and released slowly. The sensitive detection limit is 50 ng/ml, allowing the detection of chronic (daily) use up to 3 months ago.

Execution

1. Remove the test from the packaging.
2. Hold the test in the urine sample up to the marked line (MAX) for 15-30 seconds. The test should not be held deeper in the sample than the marked line (MAX).
3. Place the test on a clean and flat surface. Start the stopwatch.
4. Read the drug test results after 5 minutes. Do not read results after 8 minutes or more.
