Macrogol Sanias contains the active substance macrogol 4000 and belongs to a group of medicines called osmotic laxatives. It ensures that in the intestinal fluid is added to the stool, making the stool softer and larger. This helps resolve very slow bowel movement.
It is not absorbed into the bloodstream and is not broken down by the body. Macrogol Sanias is used to treat constipation in adults and children aged 8 years and older.

NOT TO BE USED WITH

• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
• inflammatory bowel disease (such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease) or unusual widening of the bowel
• intestinal perforation (a hole in the intestinal wall) or a risk of intestinal perforation
• blockage in the gut (ileus) or if this is suspected painful abdominal disease of unknown cause

DOSAGE

Adults and children over 8 years old
The recommended dose is 1 to 2 sachets per day, preferably taken in the morning as a single dose.
Start by taking 1 sachet per day and increase to 2 sachets per day as needed. The daily dose can be adjusted depending on the effect of the medicine. This can vary from 1 sachet every other day (especially for children) to a maximum of 2 sachets every day.
Immediately before use, dissolve the contents of the sachets in 50 ml of water and drink the liquid.
