The wound dressing consists of a polymer matrix with a semi-permeable polyurethane film top layer. The dressing does not stick to the wound, which reduces pain during dressing changes and does not damage newly formed tissue. The dressing is impermeable to water and bacteria. It maintains a moist wound environment, which stimulates the physiological healing process of the wound.
