Cauterization of tissues and small blood vessels during surgical procedures, without the need for a high-frequency generator. Electrocautery is a sterile, bipolar, battery-powered, disposable device for cauterization. The electrocautery has a fine tip, suitable for most procedures. It is particularly suitable where an efficient hemostat is required, such as in vascular surgery, dermatology, and microsurgery.
The energy is supplied by built-in alkaline batteries. The cauter has a safety cap that protects the tip and prevents accidental activation.
