Atrauman® Silicone is a wound contact layer used in the treatment of superficial, acute and chronic, mildly to moderately exuding wounds, plus as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds and in sites with sensitive skin.

Atrauman® Silicone is a wound contact layer, consisting of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) net as a carrier material, coated with silicone gel (based on polydimethylsiloxan) on both sides. This wound contact layer serves as an atraumatic wound treatment and is thin, soft, customisable and drapeable. Its open mesh structure makes it permeable to exudate. It adheres gently and securely to dry, but not to moist, surfaces. Thus, it prevents adhesion to the wound.
