USE IT WITH
- Nurofen Fastine is used for short-term symptomatic treatment of: moderate to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, menstrual pain, fever and cold pain.
NOT TO BE USED WITH
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ibuprofen, ponceau 4R (E124) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- If you have ever had shortness of breath, asthma, runny nose, swelling of your face and / or hands or hives after taking ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid (also called aspirin) or other similar pain killers (NSAIDs).
- If you have a stomach ulcer or stomach bleeding (or have had two or more episodes of stomach ulcer or stomach bleeding).
- If you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation in association with previous NSAID treatment.
- If you have severe liver or kidney disease or heart failure.
- If the patient is a child with a body weight less than 20 kg.
- If you have a brain haemorrhage or other active bleeding.
- If you have unexplained blood production disorders.
- If you suffer from severe dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake).
- During the last three months of pregnancy.
DOSAGE
In adults and adolescents from approximately 40 kg: Initial dose: take 1 or 2 capsules (200 mg or 400 mg ibuprofen)
In children from 20 kg (approximately 6 years) to 39 kg body weight: Nurofen Fastine should only be used in children if they weigh at least 20 kg. The maximum total daily dose of ibuprofen is 20-30 mg per kg body weight, divided into 3 to 4 single doses.
