Welch Allyn DuraShock DS55
Welch Allyn's DS55 sphygmomanometer has shockproof DuraShock technology which offers practical benefits compared to traditional aneroid sphygmomanometers. This is especially beneficial in busy medical environments where equipment must be as robust as possible.
- Includes velcrow cuff number 11 (adult) and a storage pouch
- FlexiPort cuff, easily and quickly exchangeable by means of a click system
- Manual use
- Laser engraved dial
- Clear window

With DuraShock Technology, Welch Allyn BP gauges
- Keeps the calibration longer than traditional aneroid BP gauges, giving you more accurate readings
- Not required to be replaced as quickly than traditional aneroid BP gauges, giving you a longer life and therefore less costs
How DuraShock technology works
In traditional aneroid sphygmomanometer designs, springs strengthen the vertical movement of the gear in order to rotate the needle. The DuraShock only uses a helix spring and directly converts the vertical movement of the pinion to rotation of the needle without the use of a multi-step gear set-up. The Welch Allyn DuraShock has fewer moving parts and is shock resistant and lighter than the traditional meters. The DuraShock can be dropped from 76 centimeters on a hard surface and still remain accurate. It's the only meter that can can meet the AAMI shock proof specifications.
