Veroval Chlamydia Self-Test for Women - Medical Device
The Veroval® Chlamydia self-test for women provides reliable and clear information about whether you are infected with the Chlamydia trachomatis bacteria. The test is based on detecting the Chlamydia trachomatis bacteria via a swab from the vagina. With the help of this rapid test you can easily test whether you are infected with the Chlamydia trachomatis bacterium in your own familiar environment. All you need is the self-test and 15 min. time.
Chlamydia trachomatis is a sexually transmitted bacterium that causes an infection in the genitourinary tract. Chlamydia infections are among the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Chlamydia infections are usually symptom-free but can lead to arthritis, inflammation of the eyes and/or urinary tract. Untreated infections can cause infertility and increase the risk of an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy and premature birth. Possible symptoms of Chlamydia include pain or burning when urinating, lower abdominal pain, pain during intercourse, excessive or abnormal vaginal discharge or bleeding during or after sex.
If there is a desire to have children and/or changing sexual contacts, it is advisable to always have the Chlamydia rapid test at home, so that you can regularly test for an infection.
