Stack finger splint
The Stack splint is a finger splint you use to immobilize fingers if you have an injury. For example, a mallet finger, which is an injury to the extensor tendon of your finger. Stretching your finger gives the tendon time to grow back together. Some splints have holes so that you do not sweat excessively. You can attach the splint to the finger using a plaster or fixation strap.
How long do I wear the stack splint?
With a mallet finger you have to wear the splint for 6-10 weeks, possibly extended by 2-6 weeks, then another 2-4 weeks at night. Discuss this with the doctor.
