USE IT WITH
- Hibiscrub is a red, clear, ready-to-use solution that can be used topically as:
- disinfectant for the hands before an operation
- disinfectant for the skin at the site of surgery.
NOT TO BE USED WITH
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medication.
- Hibiscrub contains soybean oil. If you are allergic to peanut or soya, do not use this medicine.
DOSAGE
Hibiscrub should only be used on the skin. Hibiscrub is ready for immediate use. The usual dose is:
- Hand disinfection before surgery:
Wet hands and forearms with water and then rub in well with 5 ml of undiluted Hibiscrub for one minute. Then brush the nails and rinse hands and forearms. Finally, rub again with 5 ml of undiluted Hibiscrub for two minutes and then rinse and dry the hands and forearms thoroughly again. - Disinfection of the operating area before surgery:
After shaving the surgical field, the patient's skin should be carefully rubbed with Hibiscrub for two minutes. Use sufficient, preferably sterile, water to produce foam. Remove the foam and dry with sterile gauze. Immediately before the operation, the operating field is disinfected in the usual way.
