CareLance lancing device
CareLance, lancing device with 5 adjustable lancing depths; for pricking capillary blood for measuring the blood glucose level.
The lancing device has 5 adjustable lancing depths. The lancing device must be used with CareSens lancets or another interchangeable lancet. After the blood sample has been collected, the lancet can be automatically removed from the lancing device and discarded in a sharps container.

Apply for:
- pricking capillary blood to measure blood glucose levels.
Blood sample collection:
- wash hands and especially fingertips thoroughly with soap and water
- wash your hands carefully
- unscrew the cap of the lancet holder
- place a new lancet firmly in the lancet holder
- hold the lancet
- remove the round protective cap by turning it
- put the protective cap away, it will be needed later to properly dispose of the used lancet
- screw the lancet holder cap back on
- with the cap of the lancet holder you can choose between 5 different puncture depths: 1-2 for soft or thin skin, 3 for normal skin, 4-5 for thick or keratinized skin
- hold the lancet holder cap with one hand and pull the adjustment knob with the other hand
- pull the ends apart until you feel a 'click'
- this means the lancet holder is in the correct position and ready to use
- place the lancet holder firmly on the skin and press the release button
- use a different finger after each blood draw, sparing the index finger and thumb
- put the lancet holder away and wait a few seconds until a drop appears
- use a new lancet for each measurement., never use a lancet whose protective cap is missing or damaged
- unscrew the cap from the lancet holder
- put the round protective cap back on the lancet
- slide the ejector system forward with your thumbs and pull the tension knob at the same time
- dispose of the used lancet in a sharps container.
