USE IT WITH
For short-term treatment of continuous (chronic) or recurring (habitual) constipation.
To facilitate defecation when necessary, for example with hemorrhoids.
NOT TO BE USED WITH
- If you are allergic to the active substance, bisacodyl, or any other ingredient of the group to which bisacodyl belongs (called triarylmethane derivatives) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- In case of intestinal blockage or intestinal arrest (ileus), circumstances requiring immediate surgery such as appendicitis, sudden inflammation of the intestines or severe dehydration (dehydration).
- In case of sudden severe abdominal pain.
DOSAGE
As with all medicines in the group to which bisacodyl belongs, Laxative tablets HTP Bisacodyl 5 mg should in principle not be used for longer than three consecutive days.
Adults and children over 11 years: 1-2 tablets (5-10 mg) per day before going to bed or 1 suppository (10 mg) for immediate action.
Children 2 to 10 years: 1 tablet (5 mg) per day before going to bed or 1 suppository (5 mg) for an immediate effect.
